Posted September 06, 2018 07:00:04 Some students have had to pay their own school tuition after their parents decided to drop out of school for work.
NBC News was there for the students.
Some of them had to wait weeks or months to see if they could find work.
Some students had to travel thousands of miles to be able to attend classes.
But the families that are footing the bills have paid for the school, and now the students are going to get the rest of their education.
A group of students and their families is now looking for a way to help fund the school.
It’s called the Center for Students in Transition.
It was founded in January and aims to help students and families like them pay for school, including tuition, books, and other expenses.
They’re now calling it the Center For Students in Education.
NBC’s Mary Louise Kelly was at the Center to talk to the students and parents who are now looking to help.
